The concept of “university ethics” is connected with notions – professional ethics, academic ethics, university culture, corporate ethics, etc., but not the same thing.
University ethics and academic ethics are both private and general concepts of academic ethos. The subject field of university ethics is the principles of the development of knowledge, norms, values in the university. The place of the university in society is changing today. Therefore, it is necessary to look at these changes very carefully. University ethics looks there.
The university’s paradigm goes to the development strategy of “University 3.0”. “Universities 1.0” is the Humboldt University; “Universities 2.0” are specialized educational institutions (technical, humanitarian, economic, etc.). A modern trend for higher education is a return to the new Humboldt University – it is called “university 3.0”: entrepreneurial, innovative, technological, research [2, 4].
Today the ethical problem field in higher education is the theory of applied ethics of V.I. Bakshtanovsky: “practice-oriented ethics” (because education is a public practice), “organizational ethics” (because the university is an organization), “applicative ethics “(Since there is always a demand for higher education) [1].
University ethics consists of components: theoretical, practical and normative. The open nature of university ethics and is still part of academic ethos [3].
The theoretical component includes parts of the classical university. The practical component includes documents: codes, statutes, missions, policies of universities or scientific com-munities. These documents are normative in nature and serve as a model for the ethical codes of universities.
The normative component of university ethics is laws (on education, about science, etc.), plans, projects, programs, road maps, according to which universities function. Education is a public good, it changes with society and the state. Changes in the university, show how university ethics work at the university, what is defined and regulated.
